Nepal Vocational Academy
Nepal Vocational Academy (NVA) is a non-profit company,
affiliated with the Council for Technical Education and
Vocational Training (CTEVT), that offers young people in
Nepal skills-based pathways to employment. With hundreds
of thousands of young Nepalis leaving each year for foreign
labor, often in low-skilled and vulnerable work, there is a
pressing need for locally relevant vocational training that
gives youth viable options at home or stronger prospects abroad.
A central part of NVA’s mission is to train youth in various
skills across sectors, including architecture, agriculture,
hospitality, and more. Every course at the NVA is designed
to produce a skilled technical workforce, one that can offer
services drawing on both modern and traditional technology
and that has the entrepreneurial skills to build a livelihood
from its craft.
