HOW WAS THE R.P. FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED?

The Rabindra Puri Foundation for Conservation was established in 2009 by Rabindra Puri. From a young age, he was deeply interested in art and architecture. As he grew older, he studied several subjects, including Fine Arts, Law, History, and Management, and later gained experience in restoring historic buildings. While working in Nepal and abroad, he became increasingly concerned about the loss of traditional houses and cultural heritage.

Driven by his passion for conservation, he left a secure job and dedicated himself to restoring old buildings and promoting traditional architecture. After successfully completing many restoration projects, he realized that greater efforts were needed to protect Nepal’s cultural and natural heritage. To continue this work in a more organized way, he founded the Rabindra Puri Foundation for Conservation in 2009. He also pledged to donate   50% of his net worth and devote at least 20 years of his life to serving Nepal and preserving its heritage for future generations.
