MoU Between Kathmandu University and Rabindra Puri Foundation

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been formally established between Kathmandu University (KU) and the Rabindra Puri Foundation For Conservation (R.P Foundation) to promote collaboration in the fields of education and cultural conservation. The MOU, which was signed by Rabindra Puri, Chairman of the R.P. Foundation, and Prof. Dr Manish Pokhrel, Dean of the KU School of Engineering, defines important areas of cooperation meant to support academic excellence and heritage protection.

As per the agreement, the R.P. Foundation, which was founded in 2009, and KU, which was created in 1992 under the Kathmandu University Act, would work together to share resources and facilities. The R.P. Foundation will specifically supply buildings and infrastructure for the fieldwork conducted by KU’s programs in architecture and civil engineering. Furthermore, a bachelor’s degree program in heritage conservation will be developed and implemented in collaboration by the two parties.
